Valerie Pearce Antonini, M.P.H.
Ms. Antonini has worked in the field of substance abuse and addiction since 1998. She is currently a project director at UCLA Integrated Substance Abuse Programs (UCLA-ISAP) overseeing several large-scale projects. Over the course of her work with ISAP, she has led the implementation of a NIDA funded multi-site national methamphetamine medication-testing network (MCTG), which was established in 2000 to investigate multiple protocols in various methamphetamine populations nationally, as well as contribute to the initiative of blending research and treatment philosophies. Ms. Antonini has also been responsible for managing the day-to-day tasks involved in the multi-site 5-year telephone continuing care study entitled, “Four Models of Aftercare Support for Stimulant Abusers.” She also has experience managing the development and implementation of 15 pilot studies under the California state initiative toward re-engineering the substance use treatment delivery toward a chronic care model and continuum of services. In addition she has organized and facilitated several large scale trainings and conferences (national and international), has developed monitoring strategies, oversees compliance of regulatory requirements, can implement budget and contract guidelines, and has the capability to supervise day-to-day clinic activities to execute multiple and simultaneous project designs.
