Rachel Gonzales, Ph.D.

Rachel Gonzales, Ph.D. is a Researcher at the UCLA Integrated Substance Abuse Programs. She received her MPH in 2001 and PhD in 2006 from the UCLA School of Public Health. She has extensive experience in research and evaluation with adolescent and adult substance-abusing populations. Currently, she serves as the Project Director on a state-funded evaluation of the California Outcome Measurement System (CalOMS).  Her research portfolio includes: adolescent substance abuse treatment and prevention, tobacco and alcohol, methamphetamine treatment, medication and psychosocial treatment approaches, infectious disease, gender differences, co-morbidity, and performance and treatment outcomes. She has written several publications in peer reviewed journals and has given many poster and oral presentations at professional meetings.
