A report from the Semel Institute’s ISAP that evaluated the effectiveness of Proposition 36 was featured Oct. 28 in The Union (Grass Valley, CA). The proposition was passed by voters in 2000 to place nonviolent drug offenders into treatment instead of jail.

Darren Urada, a researcher in ISAP, was featured in the Oct. 18 Ventura County Star about his report on the effectiveness of Proposition 36, which was passed by voters in 2000 to place nonviolent drug offenders into treatment instead of jail. The report was also covered Oct. 19 on KUSI-Ch. 51 (San Diego) on the show “San Diego People.”
