Just Announced: NIDA Travel Awards to AHSR for Early Career Investigators

NIDA will provide travel awards for 5 junior investigators to attend the 2015 AHSR conference.  The awards are for $1,000 and may be used to cover travel, hotel, and/or registration costs.  Eligible candidates must be either: advanced graduate students, postdoctoral trainees, or early career investigators with no more than 5 years from terminal degree, and must have an accepted oral or poster presentation at the conference. 

Applicants will be evaluated based on:

(1) relevance of the abstract to AHSR conference theme
(2) scientific and technical merit of research to be presented
(3) potential to develop a career in the field of addiction health services research

Applications include:  abstract of the AHSR presentation (oral or poster), the applicant’s current C.V., and a brief (no more than 1 page) statement of the applicant’s research and career goals in the area of addiction health services research. 

Deadline for submission is September 8.

Please note: If you have received  a travel award from NIDA to AHSR in the last 1-2 years  you will not be eligible for an award.
